POWERS, MARY M.Â Â
Mary M. Powers, age 50, died Thursday, October 22, 2009 in her home. Â She was born January 14, 1959, in Madison, the daughter of Francis and Audrey (Weisensel) Powers. Mary was a veteran of the US Army. Â Prior to returning to Madison, she had been employed as a nurses aide in several nursing homes. Â She was active in raising awareness of AIDS. Â Survivors include her mother Audrey and her brother Donald F, Powers both of Sun Prairie and a niece Kelly and nephew David Powers. Â She was preceded in death by her father Francis. Â A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 28 at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH 2450 Atwood Avenue where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of Mass. Â Monsignor Michael Hippee will preside. Â In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to HospiceCare, Inc.
