Mason Ziegler

Platteville/McFarland- Mason Robert-Parey Ziegler, age 24, left us on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at UW Hospital in Madison due to an extended illness. He was born in Madison on June 19, 1993, the son of Ronald and Karen Ziegler. Mason graduated from McFarland High School in 2011 and from UW-Platteville in 2015 with a Bachelor degree in History and minor in Biology. Mason was a special person with the love for life, science, history, and his friends. His true passions were the Packers, the Beatles, and music. Always in his heart was the ideals of positivity in humanity and the world around him. Touched and loved by all who were blessed with his presence. Mason is survived by his parents, Ronald and Karen; sister, Michele Schmid; brother, Marshall Ziegler (Angi Tourdot); special family members, Ernest Jr., Marie and Sadie Klatt; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Schmid of Argyle; paternal grandparents, Parey and Janet Ziegler of Sheboygan; and uncle, Leland Schmid of Winnemucca, NV. A celebration of Mason's life will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Cress Funeral Home in McFarland with a time of sharing starting at 7:00 PM.
