On Tuesday, April 11, 2023 Maureen Slivka, (nee Finley) formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away at the age of 81. Maureen was an old soul who deeply valued kindness, loved to laugh and had many interests, including British history, law, antiques, art and entrepreneurship. While living on the East Coast Maureen joined DAR- Daughters of the American Revolution- General Perry Benson Chapter. She loved honoring her ancestors. Most of her life she worked as a legal secretary at various firms in both Ohio and Washington D.C. up until she was 70 years old.
She also co-owned several gift shops and cafes. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, as well as a caring friend, sister and aunt. Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, Lenore and Joseph, her brother, James and her husband, William. She is survived by her five children, Brian, (Myra) Mary Jo, (Guy), Jennifer, (Christopher), Erin, (Ocean), Megan, her step-son, James, (Judy), her nine grandchildren, Zoe, Owen, Ruby, Emile, Eva, Seymour, River, Terri and Taylor and lastly, her brothers, Pat, Joe and John.

Maureen was a member of the General Perry Benson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member since 2005.
