Madison

Maurilio (Mayo) Zamora, age 60, of Madison, died on Friday, January 31, 2025 at his home. Mayo was born to Irene and Joaquin Zamora on January 10, 1965. He married his sweetheart, Annie Webber on December 1, 1995. Mayo worked numerous jobs over the years. He helped work in lawn care, took pride in working for the family pallet shop, explored factory life and proudly ended his working career doing maintenance for an apartment company. In 2012 Mayo medically retired.

Mayo enjoyed traveling with Annie. Some of their favorite memories include going to Vegas, a road trip to South Dakota and exploring the Wisconsin Dells. He loved going on metal detecting adventures, fishing with his brother, and spending time with family. Mayo always looked forward to his sister, Irene’s cooking. He enjoyed exploring new casinos, taste-testing sweet treats and taking care of his animals. He especially enjoyed spoiling his grand-dog Max with a cheeseburger. Mayo was often spending time putting together puzzles, model cars and collecting coins! He enjoyed watching his granddaughter, Jaycee play with his coin collection.

Mayo is preceded in death by his parents: Irene, Joaquin and step-father Lupe, brothers: JR and José. He is survived by his wife, Annie, son, Jesse (Jaime) Teniente, sister, Irene (Fernando) Teniente and brother, Fermin Zamora. His dear granddaughter, Jaycee, and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, it would mean the most to Mayo and his family if you donated on his behalf to the humane society.

A small private family gathering will be held at Cress Funeral Home in Madison (East) on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
