Maxine E. Miller

Maxine Elaine Miller, age 91, passed away on October 16^th of 2023.

Maxine was born March 6^th of 1932 in La Valle, Wi. She worked on the family farm in Elroy until moving to Madison Wi, where she worked in retail.

Maxine lived a life of love. This was demonstrated by her community service. In 2014 Maxine was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award through RSVP of Dane County. She also received service recognition awards from Fisher-Taft Apartments where she resided and Goodwill where she worked.

Maxine loved her family. Her father had asked her to watch over her brothers, Harlin and Kenneth. Only after both brother’s had passed, was she ready to leave this world. She was the family historian, keeping detailed records of life events of the family.

Maxine enjoyed traveling, reading, and almost always had a word puzzle in her hands.

Maxine spent her final days at Home Again in Cambridge, Wi where she was treated with love and respect by the staff, along with Agrace Hospice who made Maxine’s passing peaceful. We are forever thankful for their care.

Maxine will be missed by sister-in-law Dora Miller; nieces Darlene Delaney, Shirley (Dale) Pfaff, Deborah (Greg) Whitmore, Denise Miller, and nephews Rick (Brenda) Miller, Daryl (Elaine) Miller, and many extended family members.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents Clinton Miller and Esther (Schultz) Miller and her brothers Kenneth and Harlin Miller.
