Melissa "Missy" Schowalter

Melissa “Missy” Schowalter, age 36, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 31, 2023.  She was born in Madison, Wi. On June 17, 1987.  United to Eric Schowalter on March 10, 2007. 

Missy graduated from Horicon High School in 2005.  She continued to work thru higher education culminating in her Masters degree from Herzing University in 2016.  Through her time she accumulated 17 years within various positions in the medical field. 

She spent her free time with her family, which she treasured the most in this world.  She was also a very active crafter.  Creating tumblers, badge reels, and t-shirts.  Traveling to shows and TumblerCons to continue building her abilities in the craft scene. 

She is survived by her husband; Eric and their three children; Aria, Drew, and Olivia.  Her parents Paul and Roxanne (Ricco) Schroedl, and many other relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Francis Schroedl, Della Schroedl, and Susan Chase.  As well her brother-in-law Alan Schowalter. 

She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. 

Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday January 13, 2024 at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday.  She will be laid to rest at Washington Cemetery in Portland, Wisconsin.
