Mia Walts

Madison-Mia Jeanette Walts, age 2 �, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from Niemann-Pick Disease, Type A, with mommy and daddy at her side. She was born on May 31, 2009 at Meriter Hospital.

She is survived by her parents Joe and Rachel (Krauskopf) Walts; her maternal grandparents Tom and Margie Krauskopf; her paternal grandparents Don and Anne Walts, Dale Love and Mark Phillips; her uncles Josh Krauskopf, Chris (Natalie) Walts, Adam (Susie) Havey and Bret (Joe Kerr) Havey; her aunts Sara Krauskopf and Megan (Jason) Bireta; her cousins and other relatives. Joe and Rachel would like to thank their family and friends for their love and support, as well as Dr. Carleen Hanson of Meriter and Kristin, Ann and Erica from Agrace HospiceCare for their incredible care of Mia and her family.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorials be made in Mia's name to the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation ( www.nnpdf.org ) or Agrace HospiceCare ( www.agracehospicecare.org ).
