Madison-Michael J. Cullinane, age 60, a life long resident of Madison passed away July 4th, 2008 with his family and friends beside him, after a brief illness. Mike was born on March 17, 1948 and was adopted into the loving arms of John and Eve Cullinane. Mike has survived many personal health challenges over the years. He was an avid reader and devoted fan of old time TV & Film. He loved to play jokes and joke around. He is survived by his loving sister Mary (Mark) Esch, a cousin Patrick (Joan) Pagel, and his special friend who could make him smile, Skippy the dog. Mike was employed by Topperâ¢s Pizza. He was always so happy to tell you how many pizza boxes he made at work. He was supported when working by Community Work Services. Beth Hougen was a Support Broker who brought much joy in their outings to bookstores and lunches. Mikeâ¢s enjoyment of life over the years would not have been possible without the assistance of the staff of Options in Community Living. The family would like to say a very big ""Thank-you"" to: Kim, Pat, Johna, Julie, Juan, Enrique, Santiago, Rebecca and Martin. These people helped to provide assistance in Mikeâ¢s day to day needs. Also many thanks to all of Mikeâ¢s physicians at UW Clinicâ¢s Dr. Wm. Schwab, Dr. Brad Beinlich, Dr. Noelle Laconte, and all the people at Hospice who made Mikeâ¢s last days comfortable without pain, and ensured his ""quality of life"". Special ""Thank-you"" to MaryJane Conlin and Kevin Conlin and Ronda Martin, Elizabeth Gorman, Carol Henning, Mark Dillion, Jeff & Cindy Statz for their support of the family. Memorials to Family c/o Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, WI 53705 or Options in Community Living, 22 N. Second St., Madison, WI 53704. A memorial fund will be setup n Mikeâ¢s name called: Michaelâ¢s Entertainment Fund, to assist people with disabilities and entertainment opportunities. A private burial will be held Thursday, July 10, 2008. A Celebration of Mikeâ¢s Life will be held on July 10, 2008 from 2:00-5:00 pm at the home of Mark and Mary. My brother of mine, your kidding of me is going to be missed. But I know you are in a better place without be sick and in pain. Long live the Irish that is you, Michael J. Cullinane.
