Michael L Niffenegger, age 74, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Friday, April 19th, 2024. He was born in Monroe, WI to Myron Niffenegger and Nathalie (LaRue) Niffenegger on January 23rd, 1950. He spent 6 years as a Marine and served two tours in Vietnam. He married Sandra (Wilde) Niffenegger in Monroe at St. Johns UCC on October 4th, 1985. Mike most enjoyed spending time with family while playing cards, sharing stories, memories, and jokes. He also loved history, watching movies, playing slots, and was an avid reader.
He is survived by his loving wife Sandy, his children Jamie (Jessica) Ammann, Brandie (Eric) Yingst, Chad (Ashleigh) Topp, Cody (Chelsea) Sulzer, Shane (Nikki) Niffenegger, and Amber (Kameron) Peterson. His grandchildren Shelby (Ray) Whitfield, Sydney (Austin) Seyfferth, Briana (Issac) Yingst, Jared Yingst, Katlyn Yingst, Amelia Ammann, Everly Ammann, Joel Ammann, Jack Peterson, and Nora Peterson, and two great-grandchildren Kaveri and Kouvr Seyfferth. He is also survived by his siblings Christine Alexander, Mary Jo Zenter, Annie (Pete) Figi, Mark (Mary Jo) Niffenegger, Karla (John) Wetteland, Kim (Denny) Matzke and lots of loved nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, as well as sisters-in-law Judy Trout and Kathy Wilde.
He is preceded in death by brothers-in-laws John Trout, Jimmy Wilde, and Richard Wilde, and his father, Myron Niffenegger, his mother, Nathalie LaRue, and beloved cat, Otis.
