Michael Dean Norland

Madison – Michael Dean Norland, age 74, passed away at home on Monday July 15, 2024. He was born Aug 13, 1949, in Warren, Illinois to the late Marvin and Evelyn (Hauge) Norland. He married Virginia Lea Cork on October 1, 1977. Michael worked for many years as a groundskeeper at the UW Hospital. He enjoyed tractors, especially John Deere.

Michael is survived by his wife of 47 years Virginia; daughter Dora Norland; his brother Edward Norland; and is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Bonnie (Mike) Butler; brothers-in-law Ray Reeson, James Smith Sr., Thomas E. Cork and Ronald Foye; and sister-in-law Gail Foye.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday August 13, 2024, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3325 E. Washington Ave. Madison. A luncheon will follow the service at the funeral home. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
