South Beloit- Michael J. Tyler “Mailman Mike,” age 67, left this earth with the sunset on Friday, February 28, 2025, surrounded by his family and all four of his children, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Monroe on April 6, 1957, the son of Lawrence Jr. and Barbara Tyler.

On March 15, 1986 Mike started working for the US Postal Service. For 38 years he was affectionately known as Mailman Mike until his retirement in March 2024. He was an avid sports fan, especially cheering on the Packers, Badgers and Brewers, he loved to golf and bowl.
Mike was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his four children, Cassandra (Andrew Boyer) Tyler, Nicole (Bryan) Ellis, Justin (Brittiany) Tyler, and Cameron (Madison Davenport) Tyler; seven grandchildren, Rylen, Isabella, Melanie, Alexis, Hunter, Taylor, and Lindsay; father, Lawrence (Jan) Tyler Jr.; mother, Barbara (Harry) Posten; two sisters, Judy (Randy) Jones and Shannon (Daniel) Denny; and many nieces and nephews.
