Michele M. Nelson

Michele Marie Nelson passed away on January 22, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. Her final moments were spent peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Michele was known for her outgoing personality and her love of lighthouses and bears. One of her favorite things to do was spend time with her loved ones and watching the Green Bay Packers. Michele will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Gregory Nelson, her daughters Stacey and Chelsea Nelson, her brothers Rick (Valerie) Shields, and Michael (Brenda) Shields, and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Lucille Shields, her sister Vickie Shields and many aunts, uncles and in-laws.

A celebration of life for Michele will be held at: VFW Post 7591 301 Cottage Grove Rd, Madison, WI 53716 on February 6th 2025 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers and gifts, we ask you to consider donating to the Gilda’s Club of Madison or the UW Carbone Cancer Center, both of which helped Michele during her last few years.
