Mildred Bernice (Carter) Foote of Stoughton, Wisconsin died Thursday, January 29, 2009.  She was born on June 27, 1913 in Trenton, Missouri to Rollie and Bertha (Bernard) Carter.  In 1935 she married Robert G. Foote.  Mr. Foote preceded her in death on February 14, 1991.  She devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Her family and friends will remember her generosity, kindness and sense of humor.  Preceeding her in death were two brothers, Oscar and Raymond and four sisters, Letha, Anna Lee, Norma Jean, and Ferol, and one daughter, Sara Foote Miller.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol (Jerold) Buckles,  She is also survived by two grandchildren: Beth (Larry) Turvy and Bill (Jill) Buckles; and four great grandchildren:  Melissa Turvy, Savanna Turvy, Jack Buckles, and Maria Buckles. Other survivors are a  son-in-law, George Miller, and two step-grandchildren; Michelle Dale and Michael Miller.  Mrs. Foote had lived in Stoughton since 1976.  She had been a resident of Skaalen Sunset Home since October 1, 1999.

A Memorial Service at Skaalen Sunset Home will be held in the spring.
