Mildred Ingebrigtson

Madison/Waunakee- Mildred R. Ingebrigtson, age 94, died Saturday, July 29, 2017. She was born July 16, 1923 in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; the daughter of George and Ida Kreger (Blatterman). On April 10, 1948, Mildred and Edwin A. Ingebrigtson were united in marriage in Sun Prairie --- a marriage that lasted 59 years up until Edwin's death in 2007. They lived and raised their family on the northeast side of Madison. Millie, as affectionately known by friends, worked outside the home for many years primarily in retail and housekeeping.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Walter, Victor, Zenno, and Elmer, and a sister, Myrtle. Mildred is survived by two children, Paul Ingebrigtson (Peggy Olson) of Lodi, Wisconsin and Peggy (Bill) Christenson of Wausau as well as 5 grandchildren; Andrew, Amy, Amanda, Alex and Mitchell; and 5 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2126 N. Sherman Avenue, Madison. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Gerry Kuhnke will officiate and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens.

The family would like to thank the staff at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Lodi and Agrace Hospice & Palliative Care for their compassionate care during the last days of Millie's life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a local food pantry.
