MADISON-Mildred "Millie" Seidner passed away at St Mary's Care Center on September 19, 2014. She was born on August 25, 1911 in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Joseph and Jennie Hundt. She was married to Sidney Seidner on June 26, 1938. Sidney preceded her in death on October 18, 1985 after 47 love-filled years of marriage. Millie is survived by her children Robert (Patricia) Seidner; Carolyn (Robert) Monthey; Daniel (Sally) Seidner ; her Grandchildren Joanne (Monthey) and Paul Partington; Kristine (Monthey) and Eric Nordeng; Elisa (Seidner) and Eric Scerri; Jeffrey (Christina) Seidner; Sara (Seidner) and Matt Hunter; step-Grandchildren David and Chip (Danelle) Cahoon and Kim (Karl) Whisler; her great- grandchildren Sydney and Lucas Partington, Taylor Nordeng , Alaina and Brenna Hunter, Charles and George Seidner; her step-great-grandchildren Ashlie , Brandon, Cody and Colton Cahoon and Chase and Isaac Whisler.
Millie and Sidney came to Portage, Wisconsin in January 1939 where Sidney managed the shoe department in the new Marachowsky Store. In 1943, he became a fireman on the Milwaukee Railroad and later an Engineer. Millie was the president of the Portage Band Mothers, and a charter member of the Portage Elks Club, and the Railroad Women's Club. While living in Portage, Millie had very close and dear friends Frank and Maeline Bottoni and Elayne and Artis Hanson that were always there for her by her side and were always in her thoughts and prayers.
Millie celebrated her 103rd birthday on August 25, 2014 with her family. She was alert and had her favorite, pizza and beer. As usual, she rose to the occasion surrounded by her family. Millie loved yellow roses and the color green. She lived to care for her family and friends and never said "no" to anyone that needed help. Millie made an impact on all of our lives; her values, teachings, laughter, wit, generosity and love will be carried on in all of those that she touched in her over 103 years of life.
Rest in Peace, and we know that you will be "quite comforble" and happy joining your loving husband Sid.
