Milo Anderson

April 16, 1921 — January 1, 2013

Stoughton - Milo A. Anderson, age 91, passed away peacefully at the Stoughton Hospital on January 1, 2013. Milo was born in the Mt. Horeb area at home on April 16, 1921 to parents: Samuel and Ida (Hanson) Anderson and was baptized and confirmed at the Blue Mounds Lutheran Church. After learning about good farm land available in the rural Stoughton area, he convinced his parents and brothers to relocate. Together, they farmed and learned how to raise tobacco. Later Milo worked for Highway Trailers, King Edwards Tobacco and Ortega in Stoughton. He cared for his aged mother until her death and then was married later in life to Norma Klaetch. They were foster parents to infants. They lived in Baraboo and Prairie du Sac and divorced after 25 years but remained good friends. He later met Mary Tegge and their friendship spanned many happy years. When his health began to fail, he decided to move back to Stoughton to be near family. Milo was an avid sports fan following the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers football and basketball.
Milo was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers: Arvin and Selmer. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Millard and infant sister, Idalise. Milo is survived by his sister-in-law Viola Anderson, a nephew Allen (Julie) Anderson, a niece Karen (Herman) Lien, a great nephew Steven Anderson all of Stoughton and cousins Jean Stiner and Julie (David) Harris of Blanchardville.
The family wishes to thank the staff of REM health services, Doctors and staff of Stoughton Hospital/Dean clinic, and Skaalen Nursing Home for their care and compassion. A special thank you is extended to Eunice Allison for the friendship and care she provided Milo over the years.
