Muriel A. Hildebrandt

Stoughton- Muriel A. Hildebrandt, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Stoughton Hospital.  She was born in Stoughton on March 25, 1929, the eighth of 12 children to Matthew and Mabel (Wee) Johnson.  On July 10, 1948 Muriel married Robert Hildebrandt.  She worked as a head teller at Stoughton State Bank, now Wells Fargo Bank, for 33 years.  Muriel was a member of the Red Hat Society, Stoughton Country Club and the Ponytail Canasta Club.  She enjoyed golfing, reading and especially playing cards with the girls on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.  Muriel is survived by her brother, Donovan (Ann) Johnson of Brooklyn; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Luann (John) Alme and Karen (Dick) Tofte.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert in 1985; daughter, Susan Kelch in 2005; and 10 siblings.  According to Muriel's wishes, there will be no services.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the Stoughton Area Senior Center, Stoughton Public Library, or to Home Health United.  A special thank you to the staff of Stoughton Hospital and to staff and friends at Vennevoll.
