Vetter, Muriel Stoughton- Muriel Vetter, 93, of Stoughton passed away peacefully on February 28, 2009.  She was born in Montevideo Minnesota on July 1, 1915 a daughter of the late Herman and Hansine (Mortenson) Bang.  In 1941 she married Herbert Vetter.  They farmed in Minnesota prior to moving to Stoughton in 1959, where she drove a school bus for many years.  Her beloved husband, Herbert, preceded her in death in July 2007.  She is survived by her eight children: Robert (Dee), Paul (Marian), Marlys (Gary) Wulfsberg, Ruth (Vince Fox), Gary (Marcey), Janice (Paul Finger), Harold (Emily), and Lois (Denny) Anderson; three brothers: Ronald, Darrell (Margaret) and Stanford; thirteen grandchildren: Dan, Deborah, Joanna, Paul, Angela, Denise, Sarah, Rachel, Anna, Amos, Clara, Krista and Kyle; three great-grandchildren: Landon, Jameson, and Eli; and nieces and nephews: John, Linda, Sandy, Mary Susie, Beth, Nancy, Steve, John, Andy, Gary, Debbie, John, Karen, Neal and Norman; and a special sister-in law, Orla Erickson.  Muriel was preceded in death by her dear sister, Gladys Nuwash, and her brother, Gordon.  Muriel was devoted to her family and her Lutheran faith sustained her as she was an exemplar to others. Although her hands were crippled by arthritis, she became an accomplished musician and was the organist in her rural Minnesota church. Raising a family of eight children was certainly a full-time job, but Muriel was never too busy to spend personal ""one-on-one"" time with each child. Although by nature a very quiet person, we always knew when she was around. A dedicated Christian, Muriel never had an unkind word to say about anybody. She was greatly loved by her family and a multitude of friends. All the members of Muriel's family thank the staff at Nazareth House for their professional and loving care of Muriel for these several years.  The service will be held at Good Shepherd by the Lake Lutheran Church, 1860 U.S. Highway 51, Stoughton, on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 11:00 am with Rev. Todd McVey officiating.  The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, and again at church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service.   Olson-Holzhuter-Cress 206 W Prospect Ave Stoughton 608-873-9244 www.CressFuneralService.com  Â
