Stoughton- Myra S. Myklejord, age 92 of Stoughton, passed away at Stoughton Hospital on Saturday, November 8, 2008. She was born in Milton Township on July 15, 1916, a daughter of the late William Harry and Daisy Grace (Hudson) Arnold. Myra graduated from Milton High School in 1934 and worked as an office manager at the Shearer-Cohen Clinic for 21 years. She was united in marriage to Irving Myklejord on June 25, 1981. Myra was an active member of Central Lutheran Church in Edgerton, and Western Koshkonong Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove, where she was a member of the Circle and Ladies Aid. She also volunteered in the Stoughton Hospital Auxiliary, the Stoughton VFW Post #328 Ladies Auxiliary, and at Skaalen Home. She was a talented cook and baker, especially of pies. Myra was a great mom and wife, and a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Irving Myklejord of Stoughton; a daughter, Kenlyn (Ron) Thronson of Edgerton; grandchildren, Trudy (Tom) Spike, and Tim (Mary) Thronson; great grandchildren, Ben (Isabelle) and Jonathan Spike, and Leif and Ty Thronson; brother, Duane (Elsie) Arnold and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Anderson; son, Jack Anderson; sister, Eva Robertson; and brothers, Charlie and Floyd Arnold. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 11:00 am at Western Koshkonong Lutheran Church, 2633 Church Rd., Cottage Grove, with the Rev. Thomas Heyn officiating. Burial will take place at Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville, following services and a luncheon at church. The family will greet friends on Monday, November 10, 2008, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, and again at church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Western Koshkonong Lutheran Church, or to HospiceCare of Janesville.
