WESTPORT/WAUNAKEE- Nancy C. Hogan (Braun) born January 18, 1935 passed away on October, 24 2017 at the age of 82. She is survived by her daughter Kim (Tom) Feldbruegge; granddaughters Ashley (RJ) Derry, Allison Feldbruegge, and April Feldbruegge; sister Pat (Ken) Olson; and her dog Coco. She was preceded in death by the love her life, her husband Joseph.
Nancy loved and took pride in most things in her life, but her passions were her granddaughters and her gardens. Nancy's gardens were a sight to see, her and Joe would spend their weekends taking care of them. Her gardens were on Olbrich's garden tours and she had a plant sale every year to share her love and passion for gardening with others.
Nancy also loved her three granddaughters Ashley, Allison, and April (The 3 A's) very much! Best memories the girls have with their Grandma are going shopping, driving around looking at Christmas lights, decorating cookies, swimming in her pool, going to Chuck E Cheese, sleep overs at her house, watching one of her favorite movie Sister Act, and having special Birthday days with her. The girls are going to miss their Grandma dearly, but are at peace that she is finally reconnected with her husband Joe.
One could take a note from the beautiful and loving relationship that Nancy and Joe had. Nancy and Joe met at the Three Bells on University Avenue and were married on June 3, 1955 in Alaska. Joe and Nancy had their daughter, Kim, on the Air Force base in Fairbanks. Joe took care of Kim right after she was born because of some complications after giving birth that Nancy had experienced. They moved to California once Joe got out of the service, and then back to Madison when Kim was about three years old to spend the rest of their time here. Nancy and Joe were a real example of true love, and it showed whenever they were together. Their daughter and granddaughters got to see and learn what meaningful and loving relationships mean in life and to cherish them dearly.
