Nancy Mccreary

Nancy J. McCreary, age 82, passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2013 of cancer. She was born on April 25, 1931, the daughter of Clarence and Sylvia Schulenburg in DeKalb, IL. Nancy graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1953. She was united in marriage to William McCreary in 1956. Nancy taught foods and nutrition at MATC from 1965 until her retirement in 1990. Her favorite activities included gardening, bowling, golfing, playing cards, and cooking.
Nancy was a kind, loving mother, grandmother and friend whose warm smile would light up any room. Her greatest joy was her family. She was loved and will be deeply missed by her children, Scott (Terri) McCreary, Lynn (Jim) Rider, and Susan (Jeff) Sallstrom; and eight grandchildren, Matthew, Katherine, and Emily McCreary, Chester and Claire Sallstrom, Zachary, Adam and Daniel Rider.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 on Sunday, Nov 17, 2013, at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison. Family will greet friends from 1:00 until the time of service.
