Nancy Pearson

Stoughton – Nancy A. Pearson, age 84 passed away on Tuesday April 18, 2023 at Skaalen Home in Stoughton.  She was born August 6, 1938 in Madison to the late Anders and Helen (Manz) Nilsson.  She was happily married to Richard Miles Pearson for 51 years (August 4, 1962 until his death on August 14, 2013).  They had no children but she loved all of her horses that she raised, trained, competed with, and bred on their farm in Deforest.  Nancy is survived by her brother in law, Thomas C. Pearson, and two nephews, William M. Pearson (Leslie) and Thomas C. Pearson II, and is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a niece, Lynn Pearson Wilson.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 26, 2023 at SKAALEN HOME CHAPEL, 400 N. Morris St. Stoughton with Rev. James Salimes presiding.  Burial will be at East Koshkonong Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the service at Skaalen on Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society, Agrace Hospice or a charity of choice.  Nancy’s family wishes to extend special thanks to Nancy’s good friends Lila and Andy, and the staff at Skaalen and Agrace, for being there and taking such good care of Nancy.
