Nancy L. Schrader

Madison: Nancy L. Schrader, age 94, passed away Nov 21, 2024. She was born Dec.18,1929 the daughter of Lloyd and Marie Letteer in Milwaukee. 

Nancy received her BS from UW Milwaukee before marrying Darrel Schrader of Kohler. She retired from the Madison Metropolitan Public School District after many years of teaching early childhood education. Nancy and Darrel traveled the world extensively in retirement. She was an avid quilter, and she and Darrel attended many Midwest craft and quilting shows. Nancy and Darrel had lived in Dodgeville, Elcho, and most recently in Madison. 

Nancy is survived by her husband Darrel, son, Jeff (Lesya) Schrader, granddaughters; Maryana Popescu and Marta Petrushchak, great-grandaughter; Emma Popescu, great-grandsons; Dimitri, Stefan, and Leon Petrushchak, and special nephew David (Linda) Boxill, and niece Susan (Alan) Tatalovich. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie Boxill, with whom she talked to most every day via the phone. 

A funeral will be held at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705, with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of service.
