Naomi Yvonne Kubly

SUN PRAIRIE-Naomi Y. Kubly, age 74 passed away on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the HospiceCare Center following a long illness.   She was born on October 28, 1933 in Woodman, WI the daughter of LeRoy and Viola (Schuppner) Miller.  Naomi was a graduate of Boscobel High School and Platteville State Teachers College.  She was united in marriage to Walter J. Kubly on June 10, 1955 in Woodman and together they enjoyed over 53 years of marriage.  Naomi taught school for 25 years in the Sun Prairie School district having retired in 1992.  After her retirement, she enjoyed many years of substitute teaching. Gardening was a great enjoyment of Naomis and she had beautiful flower gardens.  Naomi made porcelain dolls and had a vast collection.  She also took great pride in her family.   Naomi was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.  She will be dearly missed by her husband, Walter of Sun Prairie; sons, Eric of Sun Prairie and Scott (Renee) of Menomonee Falls; daughter LaVonne (John) Beske of Waupun; grandchildren, Melissa, Kris (Todd) Ebner and Josh Beske; sisters Violet Workman of Boscobel and Evelyn (Richard) Fay of Mosinee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Her parents preceded her in death.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 550 Lincoln Drive, Sun Prairie with Rev. Dr. David J. Berggren officiating.   Friends and family are invited to call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery.  A luncheon will take place at Cress Funeral Home Community Room following the burial. Memorials to Our Saviors Lutheran Church or HospiceCare would be appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr. Motl and his staff and Hospice for their wonderful care and concern for Naomi.
