Neil Edward Bonney

Madison-Neil Edward Bonney age 84 passed away Monday, March 1, 2010 at Hospice Care, Inc. Neil was born November 18, 1925 the son of James (Nancy) Bonney. Neil grew up in the Eastman/Prairie du Chien area. In 1942 Neil enlisted in the Merchant Marines. After the service Neil lived in Prairie du Chien and Wisconsin Rapids but eventually called Madison his home where he worked for Wisconsin Supply for over 30 years. Neil enjoyed hunting and trap shooting but most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Neil is survived by his son Douglas (Rita) Strand, son-in-law Joseph Dickman, grandchildren Dustin Dickman, Danielle (Chris Bowman) Dickman, Steven Strand, Scott Strand, great great-grandchildren Jayce Dickman, Austin Dickman, Austin Strand, sister-in-law Delores Bonney, nephews Greg (Beth) Bonney, Mark (Brenda) Bonney, Larry Bonney, great nieces and nephews Stephen Bonney, Peter Bonney, Laura (Josh) Lawson, and Lisa Bonney.  He is further survived by   great friends Daniel and Darlene Bresnahan, and other close relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his brother Rodney Bonney and his daughter Debra Dickman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. Friends may greet the family from 9:30AM until the time of service.
