Neil J Williams

July 22, 1973 — January 2, 2010

Madison/Edgerton -Neil James Williams passed away on January 2, 2010 at Meriter Hospital after a courageous battle with Lupus. He was born on July 22, 1973 in Sauk City. He has been a lifelong resident of the Madison area. In 1992, he graduated from Madison East High School where he starred on the Purgolder football team as quarterback. He is a graduate of University of Minnesota -Crookston and was employed as a manager with Wal-Mart in Janesville.

Neil had a zest and passion for life and in his spare-time enjoyed fishing, football, spending time with family and friends, but most of all being a father. He volunteered as a coach for the Warner Park Youth Football Program.

Neil is survived by his beloved family which includes his mother, Lorelle Wheeler (Madison); his sons, Steele and Tryden; his fiance and mother of his children, Beth Watson (Edgerton); his sister Samantha-Jo Wheeler (Madison); his brother Jeffrey Parker (Madison); aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3325 E. Washington Ave. with Rev. John A. Zackery Jr. and Rev. David Hart officiating. Visitation times will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for his sons. Memorials can be sent to the Middleton Community Bank, PO Box 620407, Middleton, WI 53562-1670 or Brooklyn Community Bank, 229 Douglas Dr., Brooklyn, WI 53521 in his name.
