Nolan Daniel Bast

Born asleep in this world on February 16, 2024, God in his sovereign wisdom welcomed Nolan Daniel Bast into eternal life with Jesus on February 14, 2024 at 31 weeks 4 days.

In the days following he was cherished with a lifetime's worth of love, surrounded by his family. Knit together in his mother's womb, a beautiful child made in the image of God. He was a perfectly precious and sweet gift.

Comforted by so many evidences of God's faithfulness during this time of earthly sorrow his parents rejoice in knowing that Nolan is very much alive with Jesus.

Lamentations 3:21-24

“But this I call to mind, and therefore I have HOPE: the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion says my soul therefore I will hope in him.”

Nolan is celebrated by his parents Steve and Emily Bast; his twin brother Ethan David Bast and two older siblings Grayson and Riley Bast. He is further celebrated by his paternal grandparents Tim and Brenda Bast; his maternal grandmother Pam Berkevich; his honorary grandparents Dan and Melissa Hough; his uncle Scott (Amanda) Bast; his aunt Jenn Bast; his aunt Meg (Josh) McAusland; his aunt Ashley (Scott) Behringer; his uncle John (Katie) Berkevich; and his uncle Joe Berkevich; his cousins Jayna, Maretta, Calvin, Autumn, and Maisy; special friends The Shaffer family; Pastor Dale (Amie) Stinson and the amazing church family at Christ Fellowship along with so many other friends and extended family members.

Steve and Emily would like to issue a special thanks to Dr. Balistreri, Jessica, Cyndi, Kimberly, and Jaclyn at St. Mary's for their tender care of Nolan and his family during this time.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 2:30-4:00 p.m. at Transformation Church, 2340 Manley Dr, Sun Prairie. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm with Pastor Dale Stinson of Christ Fellowship Church officiating. Family members are invited to stay for a meal after the service.

A private graveside service will take place in advance at the Sun Prairie Memorial Gardens.

A fund has been established to support the family as they navigate the unexpected passing of one son, the sudden birth of both, as well as an extended NICU stay.
