Norma Jean, age 85, passed peacefully at her home in Sun Prairie, WI on November 17, 2010 after struggling with multiple health complications. She was born March 23, 1925 to loving parents Charles ""Irish"" Lipsett and Emma ""Ruth"" Lipsett. In 1943, Norma Jean graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Masters Degree in English. While working on her PHD, she taught English at Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri. Throughout her life she wrote short stories with several being published. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Todd and her brother Richard Lipsett and his wife Patricia Taenzler Lipsett. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Todd Loder, son-in-law Phillip Loder, granddaughter Rachel Loder, two nieces Carol Lipsett Fisher and Laura Lipsett Long, two nephews Ed Lipsett and Joe Lipsett, and their children and grandchildren. In her loving memory, a funeral service was held in Sun Prairie, WI on November 22, 2010 at The Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. Norma Jean will be delivered home to rest with her parents in Glenwood, Iowa. The burial service will be at the Glenwood Cemetery on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.
