Norma V. Volk, age 92, passed away peacefully November 29, 2011 at Walnut Grove Assisted Living Facility in DeForest, WI. She was born October 21, 1919 in Reedsburg, WI. Norma married James Volk April 10, 1940 in Loreto, WI. She loved to stay busy playing euhre and bingo. Norma loved to read and travel. She belonged to the Young at Heart Club where she loved to dance. Her family was very important to her. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She was very kind and generous. She will be remembered for her contagious smile and positive attitude. The family would like to thank the staff at Walnut Grove and Agrace HospiceCare Inc. for their care and compassion.
Norma is survived by her children; Jim (Rhonda), Mary Ann (Leo) Ruesch, Barbara (Rod) Ruesch all of Madison; grandchildren Cyndi, Caty, Stephanie (John), Matt, Aaron, Michelle; great grandchildren Kirk, Christian, Maddy and Mackenna, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband James, son Michael, daughter Rita, parents William and Hilda (Sorge) Meyer, granddaughter Wendy and sister Juanita Boyd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday December 2, 2011 at St. Dennis Catholic Church, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison at 12:00 noon with a visitation prior to the service starting at 10:00 am. Burial at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
