Norman Strommen

January 2, 1915 — January 13, 2012

Stoughton- Norman L. Strommen, age 97, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Nazareth House. He was born on January 2, 1915 the son of Victor and Julia (Larsen) Strommen. On December 12, 1936 Norman married Dorothy Dutcher. He served in the U.S. Army in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign during WWII from April 14, 1944 until March 13, 1946. Norman worked for Highway Trailers in Stoughton for many years. He is survived by his daughter, Connie Mickelson of Stoughton; son, James (Nancy) Strommen of Janesville; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; granddaughter, Shelli; son-in-law, John; and three sisters. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton. Graveside services, with Full Military Honors, will follow in Eastside Cemetery. A special thank you to the staff of Nazareth House.
