Stoughton- Obert K. Stiklestad, age 90, passed away on Saturday, November 05, 2011 at Stoughton Hospital. He was born in Cottage Grove on April 25, 1921, the son of Martin and Louise (Jordalen) Stiklestad. Obert attended Buckeye School in Cottage Grove. On February 22, 1947 Obert was united in marriage to Gail Sveum at Central Lutheran Church in Stoughton. Obert dedicated his life to farming, along with his wife they farmed in the Town of Pleasant Springs. Obert was a member of Burritt School Board, a 4-H Leader, and member of First Lutheran Church. Together with his wife he enjoyed playing countless games of euchre with friends and family. Obert is survived by his daughters, Nancy Eisele of Rhinelander and Bonnie (Eldon) Anderson of Stoughton; 6 grandchildren, Christian (Julie) Eisele and Eric (Jackie) Eisele, both of Oregon, Nelson (Helen) Eisele of Wausau, Matthew Anderson of Madison, Erica (David) Adams of Stoughton and Dana Anderson of Duluth, MN; great grandchildren, Kathleen, Lucas and Lilyan Eisele, Emma and Adam Eisele, and Elijah and Abigail Adams; brother, Wilbur (Pat); sister, Gladys Schulz; and many nieces and nephews. Obert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gail, in January 2011; and siblings, Helen Ditsch, Henry, Carl, Marie Moe, Roger and Lawrence Stiklestad. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington St., Stoughton, with the Rev. Richard Halom officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery South. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, following the burial, in the church fellowship hall. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton and from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church on Tuesday.
