Olga Annette Tieman

August 10, 1912 — March 28, 2011

Olga Annette Tieman, age 98 passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Kindred Hearts, Cottage Gove. Olga was born in Prairie Farm, WI on August 10, 1912 the daughter of the late Anton and Mary ( Anderson) Olson. She was united in marriage to Glenn Lindgren in 1934. He preceded her in death in 1939. She later married Emil Tieman in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1981. Olga lived in Madison all her life and had been a member of many organizations including: the Elks Club 410 Auxillary, Gold Star Wives Association and a life membership with the VFW Post 7591 Auxillary. Olga was very proud of her Norwegian Heritage. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing cards and traveling. She is survived by her loving daughter, Marlene (George) Ball; daughter-in-law, Delores Lindgren of Council Bluff, IA; grandchildren: Scott Lindgren, Craig (Debby) Ball, Jeff (special friend, Carolyn Burtch) Ball, and Diana (Steve) Hurd; great-grandchildren: Gavin (Amy), Tanya, Kailee, Jarod, and Connor Ball, Lucas and Briana Hurd; and step-grandchildren: Susan, Cathy, Jeff and Lori. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Glenn and Emil; son, Glenn Lindgren; sister, Alma Hagen, and brother, Arthur Olson. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, March 28, 2011 at Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5202 Cottage Grove Rd, Madison with Rev. Jeff VandenHeuvel officiating. Family will greet friends at church from 10 am until the time of service. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Cottage Grove. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to an organization of your choice. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Kindred Hearts Memory Care and HospiceCare for their loving care and support. To Be Loved To be loved in life is life's greatest gift. To be loved in death for some bit of beauty one has given the world, is to take from death some of its sting.
