Madison -- Pamela Lynn Holmes, age 44, died Thursday evening, Sept. 16, 2010. Â Pamela was born February 22, 1966 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Elmer and Roselynn (Barnes) Rice. Â Pamela was a bold, compassionate woman who deeply loved her family and grandchildren. Â She loved singing, witnessing to her love of the Lord and seeking his knowledge through his Word. Â She was a voracious reader and a keen student of the Bible. Â She was known to have ""worn out more than one Bible"". Â Pamela's powerful voice and her warmth and grace were a formidable combination that assured her presence in every situation. Â Pamela was proud to have made the Dean's List at South University, twice in the past year. Â Pamela will be deeply missed and dearly remembered by her family and all those who were blessed by her life. Â Pamela is survived by her husband, Toye Holmes of Madison; daughter Patricia Atkinson of Sun Prairie; sons, Patrick and Peter Roberts of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Ivana and Shawn; father, Elmer Rice; and sisters, Chandra Rice, Damita Rice Mayfield and Ebony Caston. Â Funeral services for Pamela will be held Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at MADISON PENTECOSTAL ASSEMBLY, 5109 E. Buckeye Rd., Madison, WI 53716. Â Rev. Don Parker and Bishop Eugene Johnson will be presiding. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Â Interment will follow, Friday, September 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Lincoln Cemetery, 12300 S. Kedzie Ave., Chicago, Ill. 60655.
