Pamela Woodward, age 64, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024. She was born February 11, 1960 to parents Ruth and Belvin Woodward in Grand forks North Dakota. She was raised with her beloved sister Paula Kolinski. She later lived with her family in Waupaca, Wisconsin and as an adult moved to California and gave birth to her son Benjamin Howes in 1982 and her daughter Rael Gilmore in 1984. After several moves, she later settled her family of 3 in Middleton and later Madison where she spent the rest of her life. As a single mother she raised Ben and Rael with all the love in her heart and was so proud of the people they became. In 2017 her daughter Rael and her son in law Aaron Gilmore gave birth to Pam’s cherished granddaughter Mia. It was an immense source of joy and pride when she gained the honor of being called Nana. She has held a few different careers over the years, but for the last decade worked for the UW hospital in Madison. Her biggest passions in life beyond her family and friends included her love for all things London, all things ‘who’, dachshunds and cows. She credits the band ‘the who’ with saving her life as a teenager and has followed them all over the world since. She is an avid collector of musical memorabilia, and if it is cow or dachshund shaped she had it. She adopted several dachshunds over the years and is survived by her current and very loved Molly Sue.
Pamela had a deep love for life and found the humor in everything (even and especially if deeply inappropriate). She was deeply loved and will be missed by many.
Pamela Woodward is survived by her children: Benjamin (Amy) Howes and Rael (Aaron) Gilmore; her granddaughter, Amelia "Mia" Gilmore; her sister Paula Kolinski; and her niece Amanda (Mandy) Genovese; along with her long term partner Matt McElroy; her half siblings, Gary Woodward and Lavonne Goodwin; and last but certainly not least her dachshund Molly Sue Woodward.
