MADISON- Patrice "Pattie" R. Smith (nee Lanser), age 49, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015. She was born on September 21, 1965 in Port Washington to Aelred and Elizabeth "Betty" (Paulus) Lanser.
Pattie graduated from the UW- Milwaukee and went on to teach at Madison Metropolitan School District. She loved Jesus with all her heart. Her membership at City Church brought her joy where she was a much-loved member. She had a great appreciation for nature and could make even the smallest space into a beautiful garden. Pattie took great pride in her family and was an enthusiastic supporter of her many nieces and nephews.
Pattie is survived by her mother Betty, siblings Chuck (Leslie), Rick (Kathy), Bob (Patty), Paul (Karin), Mary Kay (Greg) Armamentos, Gary (Lori), Tom (Jodi), and Cathy (Joel) Gove. She is further survived many other loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. Pattie is preceded in death by her father Aelred.
A Celebration of Life for Pattie will be at 6:30PM on Friday, September 11, 2015 at City Church, 4909 East Buckeye Road, Madison, WI 53716. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the church prior to services. Pattie will be taken to her final place of rest at 11:30AM on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery located at the intersection of N. Holden St. and W. Beutel Rd. in Port Washington. A fellowship luncheon will follow committal services on Saturday at The Hub at Cedar Creek, 1814 Washington Ave. in Cedarburg.
