Patricia E. Burkhardt

Sun Prairie-Patricia E. Burkhardt, age 61, passed away very unexpectedly on Monday, May 30, 2011 at her home. She was born on September 27, 1949 in Elkhorn, WI the daughter of Jack & Edith (Fay) Byrns. Patricia was united in marriage with Paul E. Burkhardt on June 30, 1973 at Lake Como, WI. She was a longtime resident of Sun Prairie. Patricia was employed as a dispatcher for the Sun Prairie Taxi Company and prior to that was a longtime employee for A.T. & T Telephone Company. She is survived by her husband, Paul; her daughter, Megan (James) Molitor, Sun Prairie; grandsons, Austin & Aiden Molitor; her sisters, Joyce (James) Collins and Eleanor (James) Froehlke; her brother, Donald (Jackie) Potter; mother-in-law, Malinda Burkhardt; brother-in-law, Ronald Burkhardt; sisters-in-law, Patricia Karstaedt and Donna (Arlyn) Reitlich; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cress Funeral Home, Sun Prairie with Chaplain Val Cappozzo presiding. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial donations will be used to establish an education fund for Patricia's grandchildren.
