Patricia Davidson

January 6, 1951 — June 3, 2013

MIDDLETON - Patricia Ann "Patty" Davidson, age 62, passed away peacefully at the Agrace Hospice Center on June 3, 2013, as a result of complications from a rare form of Parkinson's Disease known as Multiple Systems Atrophy.
Born on January 6, 1951 in Madison to the parents of Harry E. Manzer and Virginia (Johnson) Manzer, she was the second of their two children. Patty graduated from West High School in 1969 with high honors and went on to graduate from the UW - Madison with a Bachelor's degree in Advertising. After raising two beautiful children, Patty went on to further her horizons by obtaining a Master's degree in Education from Edgewood College.
Patty began her working career as the happy greeter at M&I Bank of Hilldale's Information Desk where she was the friendly face that greeted public as they walked in the lobby. In her earlier years she was a fixture around the Hilldale Mall, working the Candy Counter at Hilldale Theatre, and in retail at Gimbels.
Her proudest accomplishments were raising her two children, Allison and Danny (Dude). From youth athletics like swimming, football, baseball, karate, gymnastics, soccer and dance to skiing, Patty never missed an opportunity to support her children in their interests whatever they might be.
Tragedy struck the family when they lost Dude in March of 2001, at the age of 13 to suicide. Patty found solace for the family's loss through her immersion in her new job as a Special Education Teachers at Yahara Elementary School in Stoughton where she taught for 15 years up until her resent retirement do to her illness in the the Spring of 2011.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, brother (Harry Manzer, Jr.) and her beloved son Danny. She is survived by her loving daughter Allison, and nephews, John Manzer and Bart Davidson. She is further survived by her loving and adoring partner Dan Siedlecki and their two Golden Retrievers, Quincy & Salty Dog who rarely left her side during her illness.
A Christian Mass will take place at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 5405 Flad Avenue, Madison, on Thursday, June 6, 2013, with Monsignor Michael Burke presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 - 11:00 AM, with the service immediately following.
The family and close friends would like to deeply thank Dr. Karen Berger, and her nurse Jenn, for their compassionate care and close personal friendship during the course of Patty's illness. They would also like to thank Dr. Kim Kinsley and the staff of Agrace HospiceCare, for the special job they do in supporting not only the patient but the family and friends as well.
