Patricia Elert

Patricia Elert was born on August 18, 1931. On Friday, March 31, 2017, at dawn, God ended her pain, and along with all who passed before, welcomed her to heaven. Patricia was born in Milwaukee where she met her husband, Erwin Elert, and where they wed in 1950.
Pat will be remembered for much more than her green jello salad at Thanksgiving dinner. She was a loyal, loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. All who knew her will recall her kind, sincere, often worried but quick-to-laugh good nature. Naughty, to Pat, was "bending the rules a bit" at penny cards with her grandchildren. Her Red Hat group was a very special group of friends who played a big part in her later years. Throughout her life, Pat loved garage sales and collecting. She collected dolls, plates, spoons, figurines, ornaments, and more. In recent years, she loved her dog, Leo, more than life itself.

Pat is survived by her children, Lorrie (Peter) Frautschi, Forrest Elert, Gary (Kit) Elert, Blayde (Linda) Elert; her grandchildren Scott (Amy) Elert, Brittani (Chad) Nordquist, Eric Elert, Tony (Heidi) Frautschi, and Blake Frautschi; and her great grandchild Shawn Elert. She is also survived by her sisters Maryann (George) Schrank, Diane (Gordon) Hintz, and Debra Martin, and sisters in law, Lenore Peterson and Marian Kroscher. Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Erwin Elert.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 7, at Christ Lutheran Church, 220 South Main Street in DeForest. Friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service.
