Patricia Carol Roller

  Sun PrairiePatricia Carol Roller, age 84, long-time resident of DeForest, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Sun Prairie Health Care Center with her daughter-in-law at her side and was received into Glory. She was born on July 18, 1924, in Waukegan, Illinois, the daughter of A. Ford and Fannie (Nelson) Wilson. Pat met her husband Russell Roller at Crescent Lake Bible Camp and they were united in marriage on September 1, 1945 at Camp Pendleton, in California.   Pat is survived by her children, Neale (Linda) Roller of Des Moines, IA, Bruce (Charlene) Roller of Chandler, AZ, Dennis (Carol) Roller of Deerfield, Randi (Clay) Stiller of Jefferson and Lori (Rudy) Wegert of Baraboo; a foster daughter, Judith Brockett of Wellsville, Pennsylvania; 18 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a brother, Ford (Beth) Wilson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, by whom she will be dearly missed.   Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell, brother, Ward Wilson, sisters, Margaret Gibson and Alberta Higgins.   Pat enjoyed a broad professional career which included working as a medical secretary at the VA Hospital, and deputy secretary to the County Clerk. After her retirement she served a term on the County Board and then worked at MATC in the Financial Aid Department. She sang with the Sweet Adelines for many years and was an avid knitter and church organist.   A memorial service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at 3:00pm with Neale Roller officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 11, 2009, from 2:00pm until the time of service.
