Madison - Patricia "Pat" Alexis Spevacek, 79, died at University of Wisconsin Hospital following a stroke. She was born in Madison, July 24, 1936, daughter of William D. and Eileen A. (McCarthy) Francisco, Cambridge, Wisconsin. She attended elementary school in Cambridge and Edgewood High School in Madison and graduated from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Madison. In 1957, she married William Spevacek in Cambridge. Pat and her family lived in Waukesha for 32 years before retiring to the Mineral Point area in 1996, and to Madison in 2013. She worked for many years in nursing and dental office positions in Waukesha. Her happiest times were as a loving, devoted and very proud wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband; three children, Michael W. (Teresa) Spevacek, Madison, Scott E. (Nicoletta) Spevacek, Middleton, Theresa M. (Joseph) Walsh, Madison; six grandchildren, Gregory, Bethany, Nicholas and Alexia Spevacek and Christopher and Katherine Walsh; and dear friend, Maureen May Grimm of Mineral Point.
Visitation will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at BLESSED SACRAMENT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2121 Rowley Avenue, Madison, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with Frank (Thomas) O'Meara O.P. of Blessed Sacrament Priory presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to go to the Paul Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center at UW Hospitals.
