Patricia "Pat" Gilbert Stauber passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Coventry Village.
Pat was born on August 2, 1935, and was a life-long resident of Madison. She worked in market research at Oscar Mayer for 19 years and then assisted her husband, Robert, in his architectural business. She was always dreaming of living in far-away exotic places as she had done in Spain during her youth. She was a passionate international traveler and visited 85 countries during her life and yet wanted to keep exploring more. Not a day went by when she wasn't planning her next trip, as "planning is half the fun!" and the destination was only part of the journey. She lived life fearlessly pursuing her next adventure and we are certain that her pursuit will continue.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Glenn) Lewison Hart; her son, Carlos R. Lewison; two grandsons: Orion Frey and Keenan Hotz; great-granddaughter Terran; and her three brothers: William (Judy) Gilbert, Gary (Carol) Gilbert, and David Gilbert; as well as her step-children Sherri Stauber Pride, Ron Stauber, and Lois Stauber.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert F. Stauber, sister Nan Wilsman, and parents Howard and Esther Gilbert.
The family would like to thank the staff of Coventry Village Assisted Care, and Agrace Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
A celebration of Pat's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison. Family will greet friends after 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
If desired, donations can be made to Agrace Hospice Care.
Please share your memories with Pat's family.
