Patrick August Donahue

Sun Prairie-Patrick A. Donahue M/Sgt-U.S.A.F. (Ret), age 79, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on March 29, 1929 in Manitowoc, the son of Thomas & Emma (Behm) Donahue.  Patrick married Doris Schaut on October 25, 1951 at St. Andrews Church, Manitowoc.  He served his country with honor with the U.S A.F. for over 20 years being discharged in 1971. Patrick was a resident of Sun Prairie for numerous years.  He enjoyed bowling, trains, planes and especially reading where he ""wore out the carpet at the Sun Prairie Library"".  Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Doris; his children, Duane ( Sharon) Donahue, Jerome Donahue and Deani Donahue; four grandsons, a granddaughter and two great-grandsons; nieces, nephews and other relatives.  Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and sister.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church, 221 Columbus St., Sun Prairie with Msgr. Duane R.
