Paul Dix, age 66 of Sun Prairie, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Sunday, April 17, 2016. He was born in Marshfield on November 27, 1949, son to Aaron and Marion (Hahn) Dix. Paul was united in marriage to Christine Johnson on January 15, 1972. Together they raised six children.
Paul graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Stout with a B.S. degree and then he obtained his M.S. degree from Winona State University. Paul served as teacher in Sparta and Tomah for 13 years before he became the principal at Oakfield. As a principal, Paul had the honor of giving all of his children their diplomas and one of greatest joy's in his life was being an educator. After he served as principal for 25 years in Oakfield, he moved to Madison and worked for the Department of Public Instruction for 3 years. Paul enjoyed golfing and being with his family. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus and The Lion's Club.
He is survived by his wife Christine of 44 years; his children Jessica (Chris) Heidl of Van Dyne, Vanessa (Sal) Arellano of Oakfield, Aaron (Pam) Dix of Windsor and Bethanee (fianc� Jordan) Dix of Fitchburg; 10 beautiful grandchildren, Hailey, Christopher, Lily, Aijah, Samual, Carter, Rueben, Adel, Oscar and Sofia; three grand dogs Maddie, Cooper and Feebe; 3 brothers and 4 sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and daughters Elizabeth and Heather Dix.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALBERT THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2420 St. Albert Dr., Sun Prairie, at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 22, 2016, with Monsignor Terrence Connors presiding. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass at the church.
The family would like to give special thanks to The Colonial Club Adult Day Care and to the nurses and nurse aides at Agrace HospiceCare. Also, thank you to family and friends for their wonderful support.
