Paul Fuerstenau

Madison - Paul W. Fuerstenau, age 89, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Belmont Nursing Home in Madison. He served in the 8th Air Force during WWII as a Radio Operator/Navigator on a B-17 bomber, flying in 21 missions over Germany. Paul graduated from Algona High School and Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. He worked for Continental Insurance Company for 39 years retiring in 1991.

He is survived by his brothers, Robert and Eugene Fuerstenau; a sister, Ruth Davidson and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Theresa and a brother, Rubin.

Services will be held in Algona, Iowa.
