Paul Pudlas

Paul C. Pudlas, age 82, passed away peacefully alongside daughter Angela at Cardinal View Assisted Living on Friday, April 26^th, 2024. Paul was born on November 26^th, 1941 in Owen, WI to John and Gertrude (Orth) Pudlas. He married the love of his life, Carol June (Stukenberg) on July 27^th, 1963, in Polo, IL. 

Paul graduated from Forreston High School in Illinois in 1960, and then served in the Illinois National Guard as a Staff Sargent from 1961 to 1968. He had a long and fulfilling career working at Verizon Telephone Company as a Business Systems Installer for 29 years, from 1963 to 1992. 

Paul and Carol raised their daughters Michele Ann and Angela Marie in Freeport, Illinois where they enjoyed entertaining at their pool during the summer, and hosting holiday parties during the winter. Paul and his family also have fond memories of their times together with the T’s at the farm.

After his retirement, Paul and Carol moved to Wisconsin to be near their daughters. During their time in Wisconsin, Paul enjoyed numerous lake activities including spending time with his family at the cottage, going to “Dock Tails”, and of course, Friday night fish fry’s.

Paul is survived by his daughters Michele (P.J) Murphy of Fort Myers FL and Angela (Chris) Vinson of Waunakee, WI, grandchildren Isabel Vinson of Middleton, WI and Zachary Vinson of Waunakee, WI, brothers Jerry (Marion) and Jack of Illinois, sister-in-law Sally (John) Guger of Sturgeon Bay, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Paul was preceded in death by his wife Carol, parents John and Gertrude Pudlas, sister Donna Hundertmark, and brother James Pudlas.

A private funeral service and burial were held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Waunakee. And a visitation will be held on Friday, May 10th, 2024 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Winn Cress Funeral Home 5785 Highway Q, Waunakee, WI. 

Paul’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to Dr. Kuehn of SSM, Kacy and her dedicated staff at Cardinal View Assisted Living, as well as Taryn and her team at Agrace Hospice Care. 

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Paul’s name.
