Pearl Bernice Kast

Kast, Pearl B. Pearl Bernice Kast, age 95, passed away peacefully at the Skaalen Home in Stoughton, WI on Thursday, October 14, 2010. She was born on November 2, 1914 in Crawford County, the daughter of Henry and Vina (Mullikin) O'Kane. She was raised on the family farm in Crawford County. Pearl married Glen Snodgrass in the summer of 1932. She lived with Glen on his family farm. After his death she worked at the phone company in Barnum, WI. Pearl then married Laurel (Pete) Kast on March 28, 1939. Pete and Pearl farmed in several counties. They also owned and operated the Store in London, WI. After retirement they resided in Deerfield, WI. She spent her last five years in the loving care of the staff at the Skaalen Home in Stoughton. She was an active member in the London Moravian Church. Many people loved her homemade bread, noodles and chocolate cake. Pearl is survived by her children Dolores (Snodgrass) Maybee, Lorraine (Harold) Febock, and Linda (James) Howe. She is survived by nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and ten great great-grandchildren. She also is survived by one brother Clifford (Duke) O'Kane. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; a son Larry ( Georgia) Kast; a grandson and great great-granddaughter; four brothers and a sister.   A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11am at the London Moravian Church, N5610 County Rd.
