Peggy Martin

August 12, 1943 — October 9, 2013

MADISON- Peggy R Martin age 70, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 9th, 2013 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Peggy was born in Madison, WI on August 12th, 1943, daughter to Clarence and Marian (Quale) Martin. She graduated from Madison West High School in 1962. Her dedication to furthering her education did not end there as she obtained an undergraduate degree and a Master's Degree in Business from Edgewood College later in her life, instilling in those she influenced an appreciation that remains to this day.

Peggy had a zeal for life and a true passion for music, writing and the arts. Throughout her professional career she made her mark in both the design field as well as the creative end of the Marketing profession. This passion extended far beyond her career as she took great pleasure in attending musical acts, art shows and theater. She influenced all those around her in this regard and the values and talents surrounding such were passed down to her children, grandchildren and many friends.

More than anything in Peggy's life she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her laughter and true love for those around her was contagious and she made no apologies for her expressions of this. Her concerns were not her own but rather for those she loved and she exposed a charitable heart in each day of her life. She brightened the room with her smile and her true compassion for others. Although her time on this earth was far too short, the impact she made will last an eternity. Her family and friends were her life.

Peggy was preceded in death by her loving parents and amazing sister Nancy (Harris). She is survived by her brother; John Martin, sister; Patricia (Kinney); her children; Heather (Jeffrey) Sorensen, Christopher (Annie) McGrath, and her grandchildren; Colin Stachurski, Hillary Stachurski, Caitlin McGrath, Griffin McGrath, Cooper Sorensen, Heidi Sorensen, Dana Sorensen, Jeffrey Sorensen, Kierstin Sorensen, Michael McGrath and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
