Peter Calhoun

Peter L. Calhoun, age 73, passed away peacefully at HospiceCare Inc. on October 9, 2011. He was born in the Stoughton area, May 2, 1938 to Palma "Polly" Marie Olson and Clair Frank Calhoun. He worked at GM in Janesville for 34 years and retired in 1992. In his early retirement years he enjoyed traveling, fishing, and the outdoors with family and friends. His later years of retirement were spent relaxing at home watching all sports, especially baseball and football. He was devoted to watching his favorite team, The Chicago Cubs. He is survived by his children, Alan (Michelle) Calhoun of Franklin, WI; Terra Calhoun of Milwaukee; his grandchildren Gabriella, Luca and Shaun; 3 sisters Pat Quass of Whitewater, WI, Charlene Fitzgerald of Madison, and Sue Mink of Ft. Atkinson; half siblings Kathleen and Mike; step brothers Leon and Dean Cloud, and several nieces and nephews. Peter was preceded in death by his mother and father, his late wife Joan, and beloved daughter Tammy "Babe" and son Steven. A many thanks to his special friends. Family would like to extend a special thank you to all the medical facilities and staff that took great care of Peter. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 11:00 am at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison, WI. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of service. Committal service will take place at 3:00 pm at Graves Cemetery in Brooklyn, WI
