Peter Kiesch

Madison- Peter Kiesch, age 70, made his transition on October 6, 2016. He was born in Germany on August 19, 1946, the son of Fritz and Erna Kiesch. Peter moved to Cumberland, WI in June on 1953 with his family. He attended Cumberland High School graduating in 1965 and UW-Madison graduating in 1970 in Pharmacy. Peter co-founded the Community Pharmacy in downtown Madison in 1972. There, for 34 years he was able to bring together both traditional and alternative medicines for the public. He was well educated in both regular Pharmaceutical drugs as well as Homeopathy, Herbs, Vitamins, and Supplements. Peter was a true gift to the community as his great love in life was to help others with their health challenges.
On June 13, 1970, Peter married Katherine, who survives him. Also surviving him are his mother Erna Kiesch Peterson, one son Orion and two granddaughters Domenica and Athena, one daughter Joy (Yamil), one brother Manfred (Carol), two sisters Evelyn (Chaim) and Ursula (Don), step sister Nancy Buennemeyer (John), step brother John Peterson, his mother-in-law Mary Sims, and sister-in-law Christine Sims, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Peter's life will be held at Unity Church of Madison, 601 Tompkins Dr, Madison, WI 53716 on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 3:00 pm, Reverend Judy Pilat officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name can be made to Agrace Hospice, 5395 E.
