Peter M. Priegel

Madison - Peter Michael Priegel died June 26, 2011, in Madison WI, at the age 68. He was born March 24, 1943, in Evansville, IN, to the late Clarence and Evelyn Grady Priegel.

After graduating from Marquette University and attending graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Peter spent 38 gratifying years teaching high school social studies. His two passions in life were intellectual pursuits and spectator sports, especially football. An avid mystery reader, he enjoyed all things Sherlock Homes.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Daniel Steiner; his granddaughter, Abigail Steiner.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Pres House, 731 State Street in Madison.
